Joylong EM3 electric mini-minivan launched on the Chinese car market.
The Joylong EM4 is probably the coolest electric car from China for 2019. It just launched with an after-subsidy price starting at 85.800 yuan or $12.124.
The Joylong EM3 is made by a company called Jiangte Joylong Automobile, based in Jiangsu Province. They started business by cloning the Toyota HiAce and Toyota Coaster.
Next they started to roll out electric versions of these clones, and recently they have launched a range of largely original small electric cars.
The Joylong M3 is the latest such; a funny looking mini-minivan with a very short nose and five seats. The interior comes with a digital dash, faux-wood trim, a touch screen, a trendy gear-selector dial, and an old-school mechanic handbrake.
Size: 3180/1495/1720, and wheelbase is 2100. Curb weight is 1155 kilo.
The electric motor poops out 40 hp and 150 Nm, good for a 80 km/h top speed, which means it can drive on the highway. Range is 385 kilometers. Charging takes 12.5 hours at home or 2 hours on a fast charger.
I think it looks great, especially in this blue color with white EV-decals and shiny multi spoke wheels. It just needs a big roof-based wing to be perfect!
