This is the new Yema Bojun EV
Yema is one of those typical small Chinese carmakers that just keeps surviving, propped up by provincial capital and local pride!
They haven't been launching many cars lately, and it seems the company is now making a move toward electrification. This new Yema Bojun EV is an electric car based on the petrol-powered Bojun crossover.
... The EV gets a single electric motor with 94 hp, good for a 105 km/h top speed. The motor is sourced from BYD.
BYD is developing a nice side business, selling relatively cheap electric motors and batteries to smaller Chinese carmakers who don't have the resources to develop their own.
Yema hasn't disclosed numbers on range yet but comparable vehicles go between 250 and 300 kilometers. The Yema Bojun EV will launch on the Chinese car market in Q1 2020.
