Already the subject of considerable speculation about his future at the MLB All-Star Game, Washington Nationals slugger Juan Soto came out and won the 2022 Home Run Derby Monday, topping 21-year-old Seattle Mariners phenom Julio Rodriguez in the final. Soto, 23, clubbed 19 home runs in the head-to-head final, walking it off in his minute of bonus time. He becomes the second-youngest player to win the derby – only one day older than Juan Gonzalez was when he won in 1993.
