'Credible' threat at airport, 5,400 people await Afghanistan evacuation:
A day after an ISIS-K attack killed 13 U.S. service members, and injured at least 18, as well as scores of Afghans, evacuations have resumed.
Over 5,000 people are hoping to get out of Kabul on Friday, the Pentagon said in a briefing. Although the threat level is high, crowds of people have gathered at the airport in hopes of leaving.
About 169 Afghan people died, officials told the Associated Press. CBS News was reporting that number at 170.
“We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay,” President Joe Biden said on Thursday evening.
