Had my portrait taken by the deeply talented Texas Isaiah who also happens to be my birthday twin (today’s our birthday!). ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We met up in Ft Greene park and talked about the painful ways the space has transformed, the Black Prides and Soul Summits that used to be there & sometimes amazingly still are. For the shoot he invited me to be present and in my body and mostly I was low to the ground, with my eyes closed and while trying to find my breath. It felt and was art as care & healing in the best of ways and I absolutely love how it came out. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Happy Birthday @kingtexas thank you for all you do including the deep cancerian magic you create!
