. After 25 hours of retouching the Skinny Puppy "The Process" limited edition print is completed. "The Process" was originally released in 1996.

A lot of people have assumed over the years that this was created in a 3D program on the computer. It was actually a miniature hand built model made of plaster and wood then photographed and processed in a traditional darkroom by the very talented photographer Anthony Artiaga.

Following is my brief explanation of the creative motivation behind this artwork that I posted on Facebook a couple of years ago:

I'm not sure if I ever shared this before but when I designed the front cover for Skinny Puppy's "The Process" it had to do with loss and in particular the death of Dwayne R. Goettel and my wife Colette (who was killed a year earlier).

The single lit window is a metaphor for the people we have lost and who have gone onto a better place. The remaining darkened rooms represent the people left behind who have to come face to face with grief, survivors guilt and depression.
