Anyone else feeling the sads today? Maybe it's the weather, the moon, the state-of-things (inside us and outside us.) I'm feelin it. I am doing this: Just being with the sad. We got a cup of tea together, me and the sads, and we are sitting and silently just being. Just feeling it in my chest and belly, exploring it. It's heavy, deep, achey. It feels dark, like a dark blue dusk sky. It's also soft. And it's making me take deep sighing breaths. A little teary. It wants to flow. Now I'm asking it what it came to tell me. I am hearing "Thank you for noticing me. You need to take some action, so I can feel complete, and move on." So, I'm doing the Circles of Effectiveness Practice (I'll post about that later if you don't know what that is,) taking a walk to notice beauty, speaking gratitude for every little thing that is hopeful and positive, and doing service (I have a bunch of cat food my furry fam doesn't like, I'll take it to the shelter today.) If you have sads, try this. Feelings are messages that something needs attending to. They aren't a problem, they are a gift. And being with them, instead of pushing them down or away with distractions and toxic positivity stuff that doesn't honor them, is the way to help them move - they want to move, it's their nature.
