Happy Hormones! As emotional eaters, we sometimes use food to avoid feelings, or to activate these wonderful feelings - and we try to use food to get ALL OF THEM. Notice which one eating actually helps bolster? Just ONE (and a little dark chocolate) :-) And. . . there are other non-food actions to get that lovely feeling too! When we aren't mindfully checking our thoughts, feelings, and reactions so we can make conscious choices about what to do - we just go to food for the hormone reaction we are craving. That's just our habit. And habits can be changed with practice. YAY! Once we understand these hormones and how to activate them, we can choose so many healthy actions to get what we need!
