Happy Dilla Day. For those that don't know, J Dilla was one of my favorite producers. He worked with artists like Common, Kanye, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Erykah Badu, and Slum Village to name a few. He contracted Lupus and as a testament to his unending love for music, produced an album on his death bed in the hospital called Donuts. J Dilla changed my life. A year ago, Talib Kweli invited me to write to a previously unreleased J Dilla beat. A dream come true, Talib and I released the song Colors of You produced by J Dilla.
