A piece of space debris that was seen by people in Australia as a comet or UFO last Friday has been confirmed to be the third stage of a PSLV rocket that launched India's Chandrayaan3 mission to the Moon in 2019.The rocket stage, which is about 10 meters long and weighs about 2 tonnes, washed ashore on the coast of Green Head, Western Australia, on Saturday morning. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that the rocket stage was expected to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere and land in the Indian Ocean, but it appears to have drifted further west than expected. There is no danger to the public from the rocket stage, which is made of non-toxic materials. The ISRO said that it is monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action to dispose of the rocket stage. @iasworldofficial @iasworldofficial
