Eternally grateful for this powerhouse of a vocalist and crushed to hear about her passing. Dolores' voice was one of my main inspirations to start singing. Hearing her voice for the first time was some sort of an epiphany to me. I remember the days, home alone, where I just spent hours and hours trying to figure out how to let my voice flip like hers, trying to find the vibratos, and the volume that I used to be so afraid of. I exchanged my clarinet lessons for singing lessons shortly after, like many aspiring young rockers I've sang (or - tried singing) Zombie and Ode to my family a million times on stage with my first bands. We've performed the Cranberries' beautiful song Cordell over and over again with Delain. As the song says: "I hope you've gone to a better place." Thank you. Love you. Rest in peace.
