Sabiha Gökçen, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün sekiz manevî çocuğundan birisi olup, Türkiye’nin ve dünyanın ilk kadın savaş uçağı pilotuydu. Meslek hayatı boyunca 8.000 saat civarında havada kaldı ve bunların 32’si muharebe göreviydi. Dünyanın bütün kadın pilotları için bir ilham kaynağı olan efsane kadının bugün hem doğum, hem de ölüm günü! Kendisini saygıyla anıyoruz!
Sabiha Gökçen is one of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's eight spiritual children and was the first female fighter pilot of Turkey and the world. During his professional career, he remained in the air, and 32 of those were combat duty. Today is both the birth and death anniversary of the legendary woman who has been an inspiration to all female pilots in the world! We remember him with high esteem!
