We often get asked "What does Weta mean ?"

We chose our company name after an insect, a very cool, prickly little monster, unique to New Zealand.

There are about 70 insect species of Weta throughout New Zealand. The Giant Weta has a body length up to 10cm (4 in) and weighs about 20-30g, among the largest and heaviest insects in the world.
