Last night thousands of people enjoyed the illumination of the Walkway. Unfortunately there was a short interval after the formal ceremony when the center of the bridge became very congested. There were many police and EMS professionals present to manage the crowd and, after a short time, traffic started flowing without incident or injury. To those who were inconvenienced or upset by this traffic jam, we apologize.
