A statement has been prepared by our Sheffield Students' Union President Kieran regarding the SU Council motion passed in December 2017.

"At a meeting on 14th December 2017, Students’ Union Council passed a motion strongly condemning the decision of the United States President, Donald Trump, to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Many countries including international organisations have warned against this move, believing that it will escalate tension in the region ...and is against international law.
