Meet Mr Williams
...For those who don’t already know, Northern Education Trust Dyke House Academy has a former professional footballer as one of its head of years.
Mr Eifion Williams is the head of Year 9. He is a former Hartlepool United football star who was at Victoria Park during the club’s most successful period.
He is now providing students at Dyke House with opportunities for a brighter future, passing on his life experiences and knowledge to help students.
Student Voice writer Joshua D chatted with Mr Williams to learn about his hobbies and aims while at Dyke House.
“In my spare time I enjoy playing golf,” said the Welshman. “I also enjoy watching sports, particularly golf, football and wrestling but any sports will satisfy me because I love sports.
“In my own time outside of school I like to spend time with my children, which has to be the most important part of my life.”
But Mr Williams also loves working at Dyke House and said: “My main aim as head of Year 9 is to give students good advice, particularly if there are any having hard times.
“As for my favourite part about working at Dyke House it has to be working with students and having a positive influence on students’ lives.”
Student Voice at Dyke House thanks Mr Williams for everything he does.
