THE 74-HECTARE LEGAZPI AIRPORT WILL BE CONVERTED INTO "THE NEW LEGAZPI CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT" WITH LEGAZPI CENTRAL PARK! 🏙️🌲
2D Albay Cong. Joey Salceda already invited Philippines' biggest companies such as the San Miguel Corporation and Aboitiz, among others, to bid for the development of now-vacated Legazpi Airport (October 7 is the last flight, end of operation in LGP airport) into a new master-planned community.
Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal also mentioned of puttin...g the New Legazpi City Hall and Legazpi City Coliseum in the area.
Legazpi Airport has a total land area of 74 hectares with which its runway alone measures 2.28-kilometers long and 36-meters (12 lane) wide. This prime lot has an elevation of approximately 25 feet above sea level and stragetically located between the densely-populated Legazpi City (Old Albay District, Legazpi Port District, Rawis-Regional Center Site) and soon-to-be city of Daraga with a combined population of over 350,000! It is also near the P2.5-Billion under- construction Daraga Urban Traffic Eco-Route (4-km new road network project connecting Daraga and Legazpi using the Yawa River system). Of course, offering a perfect view of Mayon Volcano, Ligñon Hill and Legazpi-Daraga highlands.
The re-modelling and development into the New Legazpi Central Business District with New Central Park is the perfect and best thing to do with the now-vacated Legazpi Airport which will surely solidify Metro Legazpi as the premier urban center of Bicol Region bringing the Bicolanos to greater heights!
BICOL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT & THE NEW LEGAZPI CENTRAL BUSINES DISTRICT ARE SURE GAME-CHANGER FOR ALL OF US!
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
THERE'S ALWAYS MORE IN LEGAZPI!
