We would like to thank everyone again for coming out to MomoCon and making this our biggest year ever! We are excited to announce that we welcomed over 39,000 unique attendance or 120,000 turnstile attendance over 4 days for our 15th year! We know that things got crowded, and we welcome feedback on the survey link below. For those feeling a little cramped in the venue this year, we have some great news! For MomoCon 2020 (May 21st - 24th), we will be moving to Georgia World Co...ngress Center Hall B!
While we will be saying goodbye to Hall A here are some great features that we hope will make Hall B even more exciting!
-Hall B is located just to the left of our normal registration hall, but it is almost twice as large! The exhibit hall comes in around 608,000 sq ft, compared to Hall A's 340,000 sq ft exhibit ground floor. Hall B also connects to Hall C on the exhibit level to allow for future growth as well!
-The aisles/hallways are much larger and allow for better traffic flow, and instead of meeting rooms on both sides, there is a large scenic glass overlook to a koi pond on the 2nd floor which is ideal for cosplay photos in natural lighting, along with many indoor plant and water features!
-There are more meeting rooms, so our main programming will be more contiguous and easy to find, all within Hall B. Also our average panel and events rooms will be seeing an increase in sizing.
-Hall B is a newer wing of the Georgia World Congress Center and features a more modern aesthetic with larger, more open areas as well as options such as food court style seating
-There are twice as many escalators to the lower Exhibit Hall areas and more elevators as well.
This move will provide MomoCon with incredible opportunities to expand every aspect of our event. Additional vendors and exhibitors, more esports stages, larger digital and tabletop gaming areas (also more separation for quieter gameplay), more concurrent panel and workshop content, and a more organized layout for our 24 hour overnight content. We also have plans to add new content areas to the floor we haven't been able to offer previously! We strive for continual growth based on your feedback and hope to address as many issues as possible to grow the convention and provide a better experience year to year.
While we have been looking forward to announcing this for months, we are still interested in learning about your experiences from MomoCon 2019. We welcome your feedback about MomoCon 2019, and ways we can continue to make your experience even better next year!
