Slessor House is a girl's houses on the Eastern Compound. It was named after the Scottish missionary Mary Slessor. While she was in Calabar, Nigeria, she successfully fought against the killing of twins at infancy, (The birth of twins was considered a particularly evil curse) promoted Christianity and women's rights. Slessor House is the last house en route to the Games Field and its colour is dark crimson. #AchimotaHistory
