I was raised by a dancer. Basically grew up in a dance studio. I was so lucky to have that experience and a wonderful mom that encouraged me to dance. So when I became a director, doing projects with dance was always at the top of my list. This music video is the first time that I've really been able to direct a piece purely focused on the dancing and I couldn't be happier with it. The funny part is that from concept to finished video, we did it all within 48 hours. My amazing crew Carlos Medina, David Markun, Simran Jehani, my choreographer Andi Schermoly, and my two beautifully talented dancers Mecca Romero and Adrian Hoffman. Thank you to all of you for jumping into this with me and most importantly, thank you to my mom Arlene Stanich-prince. I love you and I'm excited for us to see Alvin Ailey this weekend!!!!
