It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved manager, drummer, and dear friend Manfred Plötz. Our hearts go out to his family and especially his children who he deeply loved.
When we were on the road no one worked more tirelessly to deliver the best concert experience for our fans and for the comfort of the band than Manfred. He did more behind the scenes than any of us will probably know. On top of being the tour manager since 2006, Manfred v...ery much heroically stepped in to play our opening show of the 2010 tour when drummer Mike Safron became seriously ill. Having no prior experience playing with us he relied on having just mixed our recent release and his extensive knowledge of the repertoire and learned the set only hours before the show. He seamlessly and unexpectedly filled the role throughout the entire tour. This was the kind of person Manfred was - someone who you could depend on no matter what the circumstance brought. From 2015 to 2018 Manfred doubled as manager and drummer during tours and is featured on "House Broken" and "Prodigal Dreamer." He took incredible pride in being a part of the Pavlov's Dog legacy both in live performance and production.
We appreciate your kind thoughts as we mourn, remember, and try to comprehend this enormous loss of our dear friend. Have no doubts we will continue and look forward to the day we can celebrate his memory in live concert.
