Happy 212th birthday Charles Darwin! 🎉 Today, we’re celebrating by shining a spotlight on John Edmonstone—the man who taught Darwin taxidermy.
Born enslaved in now-Guyana, Edmonstone learned taxidermy from famed naturalist Charles Waterton, a neighboring plantation owner.
