NEWS FLASH: Zach Gowen Becomes NEW Michigan State Champion
PPW's Michigan Tour stopped in Houghton Lake this past Saturday night for a night of action packed family fun. The night was full of plenty of great moments, but none as great as when WWE alumni Zach Gowen became the Michigan State Heavyweight Champion by defeating "The Nomad" Ace Evans in a 2 out of 3 falls main event that left fans on the edge of their seats for nearly 30 minutes.
Gowen is a cancer survivor who lost... had his leg amputated as a young boy. He's challenged for the Michigan State Heavyweight Title on many occasions, but was never able to find a way to win. Things were looking grim for Gowen this past Saturday, but the One Legged Warrior found a way to pick up the 1-2-3.
Evans loss comes as a shock to many PPW fans. The Nomad's title reign has lasted since late August, but now its back to square one for the brawling biker who calls the open road his home. Evans will have his rematch on April 22 in Daville, IL at Palmer Arena.
