There have been some rumours circulating that we now feel are important to make clear and may explain a few of the delays we’ve had with Album 5. It is true that Chris Healings made the decision to part company from Hybrid last summer to pursue his own career in DJing and sound design for film and TV. We weren’t able to tell you at the time for legal reasons but now with the album becoming closer to completion we wanted to let you know as soon as we were able. Hybrid contin...ues as before.
We have been extremely busy of late on a couple of film scores that we’ll be able to divulge more about shortly and concurrently the album is 75% completed with the remaining tracks being whittled down and tinkered into submission. To set the tone, the album is as usual taking us by surprise. The other day a friend asked us to describe what it was sounding like (no, they haven't heard it either) and we said if you imagine Sly and the Family Stone hanging out with Kasabian whilst listening to Hospital Records, you're in the right place. Basically, the beats are back.
