Today marks the passing of one of our most famous animals here at Wildlife Images. Gift, our red-tailed hawk, passed away quietly in her sleep last night. She lived longer than any of us would have imagined - she was approximately 35 years old. As you may recall, Gift is a retired movie star with her most famous role in the 1980's classic, Ladyhawke. We created a video commemorating her accomplishments and will post it later this afternoon. Rest in peace dear, sweet Gift.
