The Boy Scouts of Calivo was one of the first organized Filipino Boy Scouts in the Philippines. It was founded in Kalibo on April 19, 1922 by a certain Mr. Ong acknowledged by the Governor General Leonard Wood on January 2, 1923.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines in Manila was founded on October 31, 1936 with Manuel L. Quezon, Tomas V. Confesor, Josephus E. H. Stevenot, Manuel R. Camus, Vicente P. Lim, Carlos P. Romulo, Jorge B. Vargas, Arsenio N. K. Luz and Gabriel A. Daza a...s founders.
