The song itself has been with me for a while. At the People festival in Berlin 2016, i played it with Arbre Fleur as part of the Folk Circle, but never found time to record it. And every year when the summer is over in Siracusa, i have played it to people that are leaving to north of Italy (as the lyrics are suggesting) as a... musical goodbye. And finally this spring i managed to record it with La Comitiva in Berlin at Funkhaus Saal 3, the studio of Nils Frahm. Engineered by Antonio Pulli. Marco Castello plays drums and trumpet. Stefano Ortisi plays "bass" on a steel string acoustic guitar, a lot of funky pianos and Saxophone at the end. Luigi Orofino plays the brasilian samba-instrument cavaquinho. And they all make up a beautiful choir for the chorus. Then, when we were rehearsing with stargaze for the big show at Hamburg Elbphilharmonie in June, we managed to put on top the flute of Maaike van der Linde, the oboe of Marlies van Gangelen, the french horn of Romain Bly, trombone of Kobi Arditi, the violin of Mayah Kadish, the viola of Thora Margrét Sveinsdóttir and the cello of Antonis Pratsinakis. Mastered several times by Norman Nitzsche and finally its in the box. Released by Bubbles Records / Marcin Öz. Lyric-writing help from Andrea Moschella. Thanks a lot to all of you for this amazing teamwork, i am so proud of the final result.
