Just a quick note to let you know we are excited about playing the Capstone Festival this summer, and we look forward to seeing all of you that can attend! It promises to be quite a wonderful event, and we were honored they thought of us to headline this year...
I am also excited to announce the return of Manny Morales to the Deliverance lineup this year! For those of you that know, or may not know, Manny has had a long history with the Big D beginning in the grass roots of the band in 1985 with myself and Chris Hyde. Then rejoining in 1992 and appearing on the "Learn", "River Disturbance", "Camelot in Smithereens", "Assimilation" and "Hear What I Say" albums over his time with us.
That said, we bid a fond Au revoir to Victor Macias. Victor has been with the Big D since 2015 and recorded the epic (Return to Thrash) album "The Subversive Kind"! Victor also appeared with Deliverance's First Ever International Ventures in Mexico City, Scotland and Germany! Victor began his history with the Big D in 1990 as our One Man Road Crew and Sound Man for the Victory Tour... So Victor was and always will be a part of the Deliverance Family!
I have always enjoyed working with multiple and vast amount of musicians, and the different flavors they brought to the "D" sound! And myself, Jim and Glenn were ecstatic to have Victor be part of our lineup! But as I stated, I like a variety of tonal textures and vibes! And Manny has been not only a part of the D Family as bass player, but my music director for many years! So it was a natural progression for me, since Manny has been working so closely with me on my solo material for him to rejoin the camp!
I like to keep all our friends updated with the news, before any silly stories come up! Victor is our Bro, and all is well...
Talk soon... And see you at the Capstone!!!
