Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus is made the Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, today, during his visit to Greece. The university which is usually referred as the University of Athens is the oldest higher education institution of the modern Greek state.

Professor Andreas Papandreou from the University of Athens introduced the honorary proposal to Professor Yunus. This is the 62nd Honorary Degree for Professor Yunus.
