Chef Bret Constantino – Buckhorn Restaurant Group
Like many chefs, Bret’s arrival to the food scene didn’t seem likely. Coming out of UC Santa Cruz in 2005, Bret and his founding band members, guitarist Matt Holliman and Evan Reiss, bassist Hubert Guy and drummer Brian Tice formed the San Francisco rocker band Mania and soon they were touring around the world. In 2007, their body of music had evolved which led to their name change – Sleepy Sun. After touring for seven year...s, Bret left the band to put down roots and began serving as Chef de partie at Homestead in Oakland.
