On Fri 31 Jan 20, a parade was held to mark the reformation of A Company, Third Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (3 RGR).

3 RGR was amalgamated with 2 RGR in 1996: it’s successor unit will be a Specialised Infantry Battalion, trained; structured and equipped to work alongside chosen Partner Forces in overseas capacity building.

A (Coriano) Company, 3 RGR will be based, initially, in Shorncliffe where there has been an RGR Battalion for nearly 20 years.
