In light of recent news of Current TV being purchased by Al-Jazeera, there have been a number of statements and questions implying that The Young Turks have also been sold.

to clarify a point: The Young Turks and the entire TYT Network are independent. TYT was not ever owned by Current TV, but produces a TV show for the channel called, "The Young Turks with Cenk Uygur."
