Everyday life is full of frustrations and demands that lead to stress. Stress results in a host of neurohormonal changes that can both enhance and impair adaptive function. This symposium explores the mechanisms and consequences of stress from a range of perspectives -- including neurobiological changes, health consequences, investigations of learning and memory, and interactions with development.
