Inspired by artists such as Jewel and Sarah McLauchlan, in 2004, Hayley auditioned for Australian Idol with an unforgettable rendition of McLachlan’s 'Angel' - capturing hearts across the nation and going on to place 4th. In 2005/06, alongside Beccy Cole, Hayley entertained troops in the Middle East, and in 2007, released her début album, ‘Note to Self’, produced by Matt Fell, co-written with Sam Hawksley, and Jonah’s Road front-man, Jay Collie. Hayley has dabbled in a variety of genres, but has felt a strong calling back to her roots: "I am a storyteller. Sure it's fun to sing pop songs (just ask Taylor!) but my passion will always be in country music. That’s where I feel at home.” In 2014, Hayley made an explosive return to the small screen on The Voice performing 'Freefallin’ which saw coach, Joel Madden, literally 'free-fall' off his chair! Since then, Hayley has been busy creating new music. With a swag of new tunes (co-written with Phil Barton and Jay Collie), she is set to release her first offering to country music, ‘The One’, on 15 Jan 2016. Hayley was also a Finalist in the Toyota Star Maker talent search at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2016!
