Zuse is grinding these days, after moving from his native Kingston, Jamaica to Atlanta in order to pursue his dreams of being a rapper. He's still on that come up though, and thus we tapped him for a
...
new episode of On The Come Up. The rapper explains what life was like growing up in Kingston, and why he chose to move to the ATL: "I feel like Atlanta is the mecca of rap music, if you can't make it in Atlanta, you can't make it anywhere." He also shouts out producers FKi for grooming him.
If you've listened to any Zuse record, you've probably heard his crazy "joker laugh" (as he calls it), but that's not his only ad-lib. The self-proclaimed ad-lib king gives us a few of his ad-libs and explains their Jamaican origins.
Zuse also lets us know who is officially part of the Zooly Gang crew, "it's really a movement, showing people that it's loyalty before royalty." We also had to ask about his connection with Grand Hustle, and while it may not be anything official on paper (yet), he says, "T.I., he's like an uncle to me, a big bro. He took a liking to my music and he's been grooming me ever since. He blessed me with the "Whatchu Gon' Do" single on the G.D.O.D. 2 mixtape."
We cap things off with finding out what's next for Zuse, and it sounds like he's got a lot in store, with connections to Mike WiLL Made It, Hit-Boy, Young Thug and more.
