Join MARTA's Farhana Rahman, as she takes us on a tour of the North Springs station and show how many ways it connects to the surrounding community.
North Springs is located in-between GA400 and Peac
...
htree-Dunwoody Road in the Perimeter area north of Atlanta. There are multiple connections from North Springs, including local MARTA buses, large parking decks, regional Xpress buses, taxis, shuttles, and even a ZIP car.
Many riders come from the surrounding neighborhood apartment complexes, including the Dunwoody Place Apartments which is actually connected to the fifth floor of the main parking deck!
North Springs Station was opened in 2000, the same time as Sandy Springs Station one stop south. These two stations have large parking decks and are heavily used by commuters who live north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, Roswell, and beyond.
North Springs station has a fly-over bridge for cars traveling southbound on GA400. Those cars can either park in the main deck, pause for Kiss/Ride, or park in the AT&T deck. These cars must exit the station by heading north onto GA400. They cannot continue going south on GA400, and they cannot exit the station using Peachtree-Dunwoody Road on the local side.
There is a Cashiering Office that is open 24/7 where you can pay for parking if you stay longer than 24 hours. The parking is free if you don't stay a full 24 hours.
We hope you enjoy learning more about North Springs Station. Thank you for riding MARTA.
