expected to be confined to Pesi Shroff trained duo of Rigoletto and Continental but even as the race was evolving into a serious battle in the final furlong, Continental missed a stride and collapsed on the ground throwing his jockey Suraj Narredu to the ground. Bull Run shook off favourite Rigoletto to win quite easily in the end. Rigoletto just about managed to snatch the runner up berth ahead of Bold Appeal. Continental was vanned off in the ambulance. It was reported that Continental had suffered a fetlock fracture and was euthanized.
