community clean-up event were paid with Eco-Pesa which they could then use to purchase goods and services in the community - there it continues to circulate. Helping the community, environment and economy.
Eco-Pesa is a local currency in Kongowea Kenya. It can be obtained through micro-finance loans, as payment for local goods and services and through community events that support environmental conservation like waste collection days.
Once acquired it stays circulating in the community increasing trade and employment.
