BAFTA winning writer Matt Greenhalgh, writer of Nowhere Boy and Control visited the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on Thursday, 11 February.

Course Leader for Screenwriting Bill McCoid said: We are delighted that a screenwriter of Matts stature has found time to visit us here at UCLan. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented writers in the country. This will be a huge learning experience for our students, many of whom aspire to write their own movies in the future.
Matt won a BAFTA for Best Newcomer in 2008 for his script for Control a film about the tragic life of Joy Division signer Ian Curtis.
His latest film, Nowhere Boy, is currently on general release. It has been critically acclaimed and is currently shortlisted for three BAFTAs, including Best British Film.
Matts TV credits as a writer include: Cold Feet, Clocking Off, Legless, and Burn It.
