The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was also the first ever time Montenegro qualified for the Grand Final as an independent country. Conchita Wurst brought Austria their second ever victory with the song 'Rise Like A Phoenix'. Right after her victory, she was headline news all over the world. The Netherlands reached their best result since winning the contest in 1975. The Common Linnets came second.
