in Steve Miner's sequel Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981). King made her acting debut as Melinda in the television film Inherit the Wind (1965) before appearing in Between the Lines (1977), Saturday Night Fever (1977), and Hair (1979) in uncredited roles.
Her other films include What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), The Butterfly Room (2012), Tales of Poe (2014), All American Bully (2015), and a variety of independent films. After appearing in the Friday the 13th films, King began to transition into dubbing and provided looping voices for a wide arrange of films including The Night We Never Met (1993), The Man Without a Face (1993), The Good Son (1993), Wolf (1994), While You Were Sleeping (1994), Titanic (1997), and This Is the End (2013).
Amy Steel (born Alice Amy Steel; May 3, 1960) is an American actress and writer. She made her film debut as Alison in the 1981 comedy Fat Chance before becoming known for her role as Ginny Field in Steve Miner's slasher-horror film Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981). Steel was asked to reprise her role as Ginny in Miner's 1982 sequel Friday the 13th Part III but declined as she feared being typecast. She has starred in a variety of films including Fred Walton's mystery film April Fool's Day (1986), James Toback's Exposed (1983), Melvin Franks Walk Like a Man (1987), David Greene's What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1991), and the Bart Mastronardi and Alan Rowe Kelly directed anthology horror film Tales of Poe (2014). Steel has had numerous guest appearances on several television series, such as Family Ties (1983), The A-Team (1983), Quantum Leap (1990), and China Beach (1991), as well as a starring role in The Powers of Matthew Star (1982–83).
