The Sydney Growth Trains project will provide customers with a new fleet of 24 eight-car comfortable, air-conditioned trains.

the first Waratah Series 2 train arrived onto the Sydney network for testing over the coming months. Testing will ensure the first Waratah Series 2 train delivers a safe and comfortable journey before the first passengers get on board in late 2018.
Key customer features of the new trains include improved air conditioning with advanced temperature control, high definition customer information screens to provide journey and safety information, internal and external CCTV, improved interior LED lighting, priority seating, wheelchair spaces and hearing aid loops.
