These three cute bears cubs were playing on my pool deck. They broke through the lanai screen a few weeks before and began making thermselves at home! Though they didn't swim on this day you can see

the dirt they tracked into the pool and also pulled out the light. Black bears are pretty timid animals under normal circumstances and once I stopped filming this, I clanged together some pots and they left the immediately. They didn't show any interest in me and I wasn't afraid of the bears. .
Though I enjoyed seeing them this close, it is best for the bears to not become too accustomed to our home environments, for everyone's safety, including theirs. About a week later I got a motion activated alarm from Amazon and it has worked very well at discouraging the bears from coming onto the pool deck. You can see that the last bear to come onto the patio is hurt. Fortunately, that bear appears to be better in the video taken a week later (link above).
