bagged this highest honour against other popular nominees including 'Chak De' and Taare Zameen Par'. Actor Prakash Raj got the Best Actor award for his soul stirring performance in 'Kanchivaram'.
The awards were presented at a magnificent ceremony held in New Delhi on Wednesday, 21 October 2009. The honorable President of India, Ms. Pratibha Patil presented the awards.
