Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has launched its new reservoir safety film.

shown in Welsh cinemas throughout the summer.
Welsh Water owns and maintains over 80 reservoirs across Wales and although visitors to these sites are actively encouraged, people are warned swimming in reservoirs can be extremely dangerous.
• Automatic equipment located under the surface of the water can sometimes operate without obvious warning
• The water is very cold and very deep, so and can mean that even strong swimmers can find themselves in difficulty
• Most reservoirs are in remote locations, with little or no mobile phone reception, so the chance of rescue areof greatly reduced
The film will be shown at cinemas in Merthyr and Nantgarw throughout the school summer holidays. The film can also be viewed on Welsh Water's website www.dwrcymru.com.
