: In a town where a lot of poor people suffer a little swallow who meets the statue of the late "Happy Prince" who, when alive, lived in a palace where sorrow wasn't allowed to enter.
Now, a beautiful gold-covered, jewel-encrusted statue he looks down on the poverty which the building of him had created and asks the little swallow to strip his gold a jewels and give them to the poor. An act, not without price…
