Bryan Beverly, two members of the Ten Bears, met with Kira Muller, the director of the USL museum, to deliver the artifacts. This is video captures a historic moment in the narrative of the MSU Ten Bears. Please feel free, and in fact, we encourage you to pass this video on. There is a whole new generation that needs to know our story. The 10 Bears hold the distinction of being the first varsity lacrosse team at a historically black college or university (HBCU). In early 2015, Hampton University became the second HBCU to hold this distinction; the first coach of the HU varsity program is Lloyd Carter - a member of the 10 Bears. Several of the MSU players went on to coach youth and high school lacrosse in Baltimore City. Though now well into their 50s and 60s, these men still try to stay in touch and invest in the total welfare of young men; they want to see the next generations succeed on the field, in the classroom and in their communities.
