stadium, the traffic department, beefed up law enforcement, the police station, Excel garage, crossroads leading to Thohoyandou, Elim and Giyani, a Power Plant, Rhulani informal settlement in the distance, Vahlavi Bricks and Sand and other establishments along the Malamulele-Giyani (R81) road. The video ends after the road leading to ka Muswane (where Malamulele ends) and just before ka Xikukwani (where Giyani begins).
To me the open spaces are proof of potential and the broken down buildings among new ones are a sign of rebirth.
I wanted to do the same for Giyani but I was sitting on the wrong side of the bus. This video is inspired by similar videos from Mozambique showing the various towns and cities.
