twenty northern agents have now been killed or found dead since their submarine was marooned off the eastern coast of South Korea on Wednesday.
Thousands of soldiers are still searching for five more infiltrators believed to be still at large.
The bodies of the two North Korean agents killed over the weekend were shown to journalists as more evidence of the running battles taking place around Kang Nun.
The terrain around the area is mountainous and difficult - hampering the search operation.
But most of the infiltrators have now been killed or captured - five are thought to be still on the loose.
One of the North Koreans killed overnight was wearing a camouflaged South Korean military uniform with a lieutenant's insignia, and the other was clad in civilian clothing - according to officials.
An AK-47 rifle, a pistol, ammunition, a pack of South Korean cigarettes and corn ears - roasted and ready to eat were found with the dead men.
The Koreans came ashore from a submarine.
They were only discovered when the craft was found stranded off the coast on Wednesday.
Thousands of soldiers - some with tracker dogs - threw what officials called an "airtight cordon" around the area.
But some of the North Koreans managed to evade the hunt.
In the first two days of the search, 18 North Koreans from the grounded submarine were killed or found dead, and one was captured.
According to the captured agent, Li Gwang Su - five colleagues remain on the loose.
Some are espionage agents, trained to survive for days in extreme situations - others are the submarine's crew.
The state owned television station said explosions and gunfire could still be heard from the steep ravines on Sunday as the search continued.
Offshore, naval ships were towing the North Korean submarine to a nearby base.

The searchers have themselves sustained losses - two soldiers have been shot dead during the weekend - bringing the total to three since the search began.
Hoping to lure the North Koreans out of hiding and break their spirits, helicopters scattered leaflets showing photos of the dead North Koreans and the captured agent's hand-written appeal for surrender.
Loudspeakers have been blaring a taped message by Li telling the fugitives to give themselves up.
Adding to the difficulties for the searchers are a number of abandoned buildings which have to be searched.
Everything is being checked including old mine shafts and anywhere the agents could be hiding.
