s the new full live band from Rob, the frontman of Torn Skin. He sent me a quick demo of a 170 bpm thrashy-industrial track he wanted to do. This just got finished up a little while ago. I had done major drum programming a few months ago, and, due to some personal stuff, never had the chance to go and finish it. I wrote a few new guitar lines and started building the track up. I wanted to have a strong melody for the chorus, so I used his vocals as verse and wrote the chorus. This is the *UNMIXED* and *UNFINISHED* version of the song.
I finished the programming, vocals, guitar, and bass. I sent it back over to Rob so he could do his new vocals (he had wanted to rewrite the verse vocals for a while, and you'll notice for both verses it's the same take; that's all there was in the demo!). Anyway, after his new VOX are done, he'll be doing his final mix and it will go on a demo with a few other songs as a demo to interscope."

Part 2:
"This was initially written as a song for Rob's new live band "Syntax Error" (after Torn Skin, he focused on performance and getting a little heavier and scarier), but we keep throwing around the idea of doing a side project and he digs this track for that. What you have here is a roughly mixed unfinished demo, Rob wants to re-do his vocal parts, write some new lyrics, etc. He had the original concept of the song and sent me a quick rough-up, I took his vocals, wrote this around it and did some chorus vocals. Just to toss this in there, Rob now owns and operates a recording studio in central Illinois called 'Black Sheep Audio' (http://www.blacksheepaudio.com )
I don't know whether to call this a Syntax Error track or not, but we don't have a side project name yet, hence the stupid mp3 name."
